Neighborhood Housing Solutions, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) Arizona corporation founded in 2009 whose primary mission is to build up neighborhoods and communities by making housing more affordable whether it involves increasing the affordable inventory by acquisition, rehab or new construction of single family and/or multifamily housing, or by providing innovative financing programs to promote homeownership.

James R. Feltham, Founding Director and President. 

James has been actively involved in affordable housing for low to moderate income individuals and families since 1991.  In 1996 he became President and CEO of Family Housing Resources, Inc. (“FHR”), a nonprofit corporation.  FHR works with federal, state, county and local governments to fashion innovative housing programs to meet the affordable housing needs of communities throughout Arizona.  In all, over the past 15 years, FHR has helped over 10,000 individuals and families realize their dreams of home ownership, and currently provides rental housing for over 6,500 individuals and families in its apartment communities.  Mr. Feltham founded NHS to continue this tradition of providing innovative ways to help communities provide affordable housing for their residents.

All of Neighborhood Housing Solutions members of the Board of Directors bring to the Board a wide range of business backgrounds and financial expertise and legal experience, along with active involvement in community activities.  The Directors’ backgrounds and expertise will assist NHS in fulfilling its mission and reach out to local communities to help build up neighborhoods.
